My name is Apollo, and my journey is one of resilience and hope.

I was found outside, battered and broken from an attack that left me severely injured. As if that wasn't enough, I was also malnourished, FIV positive, and suffering from diabetes. It was a bleak situation, but fate had other plans for me. A Humane Society took me in and made the difficult decision to amputate one of my front legs. With their limited resources, their plan was to release me back to the site of my attack, with no feeding source in sight. It was a heartbreaking prospect, but thankfully, a rescue organization intervened. Recognizing my dire circumstances, they stepped in just in time to prevent my release. From that moment on, my future was filled with hope. Their plan was to nurse me back to health and find me a loving home. However, upon examination by the veterinarian, it was discovered that I was highly diabetic and FIV positive. The rescue wanted the best for me but lacked the ability to manage my diabetes with injections. The rescue reached out to the sanctuary hoping that there would be space available for me. Hearing my story they welcomed me with open arms. Despite the challenges I've faced, I'm a resilient and loving little guy. I may have had a rough start, but I have so much love to give. While I may be a bit sad now, I know that with the right care and support, I will flourish.
